The development of Ejagham Language Curriculum has officially entered the Expert Review Phase, with all appointed consultants confirming good receipt and readiness to proceed. This milestone brings the ELCD project significantly closer to delivering a historic educational resource for the Ejagham nation.

Previous Status
In the last Quarterly Report, the “Translation to Expert Review” section noted that once final refinements were completed, the draft Ejagham Language Curriculum would be transmitted to the designated consultants for professional evaluation. That commitment has now been fulfilled.
Current Status: Successful Transmission to Consultants
The draft Curriculum was formally transmitted in July to the three appointed consultants:
-
- Prof. Alice Asim
- Dr. Patience Ebam
- Prof. Magdalele Bakume Nkongho
All three distinguished Ejagham scholars have confirmed good receipt of the document and may have already commenced the review process.
We express deep gratitude to these esteemed professionals for offering their expertise as a voluntary service to the motherland. Their commitment reflects the collective spirit of Ejagham intellectuals working to safeguard and advance our linguistic heritage.

Significance of This Milestone
The transition into expert review marks a major turning point in the ELCD project. It confirms that:
-
- The drafting phase has been successfully completed.
- The Curriculum is now undergoing rigorous academic and cultural evaluation.
- The project is steadily advancing toward a deliverable that will serve schools, communities, and future generations.
The light at the end of the tunnel is visible, and this progress is a shared achievement for all stakeholders and donors who have supported this vision.
Financial Appeal: A Crucial Moment for Support
While celebrating this milestone, we must also acknowledge a critical reality: the financial challenge has not abated. We remain a far cry from our intended ELCD fundraising target, and this gap poses a real risk to project continuity.
As we enter this decisive phase, we once again call upon the good people of Ejagham, whose commitment and goodwill we know remain strong, and all friends of Ejagham across the world. Your support is needed now more than ever to ensure that:
-
- The expert review phase proceeds without interruption
- Post‑review implementation activities can begin immediately
- Momentum is not lost at this crucial stage
Every contribution, large or small, brings us closer to delivering a fully validated, culturally grounded Ejagham Language Curriculum.
