Overview
There is a timeless saying: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Since 2018, our journey has been long, intentional, and deeply collaborative. Together, we have advanced our mission to Document, Digitalise, and Disseminate Ejagham Traditional Practices and Cultural Expressions.
We have not yet reached our destination, but in 2025 we made meaningful progress. For your support, commitment, and partnership, I say: Ekup na Nkad/Gafol — thank you so much.

2025 Highlights & Achievements
1. Launch of the 2025 Ejagham Calendar
We began the year with the release of the Ejagham Calendar, featuring Egome, a beloved Ejagham delicacy and a favourite of Mgbe. Your engagement sustained the project through May 2025. Although we could not continue showcasing the remaining plantain varieties, this pause serves as a call to action for greater participation. Ekup na Nkad/Gafol for your support so far.

2. Growth of “Our Blog”
The Our Blog section of the EjT website remained active throughout 2025. Your comments, contributions, and interactions kept our cultural conversation alive. We appreciate your engagement and encourage all members to continue submitting articles, stories, research, and reflections to enrich our digital archive. Ekup na Nkad/Gafol

3. Introduction of EjT Core Values
In 2025, the EjT Leadership Team formally introduced a set of Core Values to guide member behaviour and strengthen our organisational identity. These values now serve as the ethical foundation for all EjT activities and interactions. Ekup na Nkad/Gafol, as we walk the talk of our Core Values in all our executions.

4. Ejagham Flora & Fauna Documentation
Our Triple‑D strategy continued with the documentation of Ejagham flora and fauna. Through the collaboration of dedicated contributors, we showcased some plants and animals native to our forests. To everyone who supported this effort: Ekup na Nkad/Gafol.

5. RELO Approval
A major milestone this year was the approval of RELO, a critical component of the Ejagham Language Curriculum Development (ELCD). This approval strengthens our foundation for linguistic revitalization. Ekup na Nkad/Gafol.

6. Progress on the Ejagham Language Curriculum Development (ELCD)
The ELCD remains a work in progress, but significant strides were made under the leadership of Prof. Stella Ansa and the dedicated volunteers of the Ejagham Language Codification Committee (ELCC). Your commitment continues to move this important project forward. Ekup na Nkad/Gafol.

7. ELCD Fundraising Drive
Running alongside curriculum development, our fundraising efforts continued throughout the third quarter of 2025. We extend heartfelt appreciation to the Fundraising Group Coordinators and to every donor, at home and in the diaspora, who contributed generously. Your support is essential to the success of the ELCD. This is also a call to action to Ejagham sons and daughters to rise to the existential challenge and donate generously. Ekup na Nkad/Gafol.

8. First‑Ever Grant Award
For the first time in EjT’s history, we applied for an external grant to support the ELCD. After rigorous evaluation by the TY Danjuma Foundation, the grant was approved. This achievement represents more than financial support, it is a formal recognition of EjT’s legitimacy, vision, and commitment to Ejagham linguistic independence. Every EjT member should take pride in this milestone. You support got EjT recognised. Ekup na Nkad.

9. Increased General knowledge & Awareness
Throughout 2025, our EjT social media platforms have become vibrant spaces for shared learning and collective reflection. EjT members have exchanged ideas, perspectives, clarifications, suggestions, and thoughtful rebuttals on a wide range of topics related to Ejagham Traditional Practices and Cultural Expressions.
These conversations, rooted in curiosity, respect, and a shared sense of identity, continue to deepen our collective understanding of Ejagham heritage. Every contribution strengthens the knowledge we hold together as a people.
Thank you for showing up, speaking up, and keeping our heritage alive. Ekup na nkad/Gafol.

Looking Ahead
Our journey continues. The road ahead requires unity, creativity, and active participation. But if the past seven years have shown us anything, it is that together, we go further.
As we move into the next chapter, let us recommit to our mission and Triple‑D strategy and continue building the legacy entrusted to us.
On behalf of EjT Leadership Team, I say hearty thank you for your support in 2025 and continued support in the coming years.
Ekup na Nkad/Gafol.
